COOL TEMPERATURES
RAIN IN THE FAR NORTH.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Rain is developing in the far north and later in the north-east of the North Island. Otherwise the weather will be fair to fine. Temperatures will be cool to moderate. Winds will be from the south to the east, or in places north-east. They will be strong in places in and north of Cook' Strait, elsewhere light to moderate. Seas in New Zealand waters will be rather rough in the Cook Strait area and north of Kaikoura, and there will be a considerable southerly swell on all the east coast. Otherwise they will be smooth to moderate. In the eastern Tasman Sea there will be moderate south-east to north-east winds and smooth to moderate seas. . An intense anti-cyclone covers New Zealand, the centre being over Otago. A depression is centred north of Norfolk Island, while a very slight one is advancing across the south Tasman Sea.
