At the Leichardt Stadium in a 10round preliminary bout Al Rex (12.10) defeated the New Zealander Bill Pascoe (13.1) on points. In the niair. bout Mickey Miller, of Australia (8.10), defeated Charlie Miller, of America (9.2), on points in a 15-rounds bout after an exhibition of willing, if not brilliant, boxing. The National Boxing Club has cabled Jimmy McLarnin inviting him to come to Australia for a match with the local welter champion, Carroll. McLarnin, who is an Irish-American, holds the world’s welter title.
