KEEN INTEREST IN BRITAIN. NO PROPOSALS FOR LOAN. British Wireless. Rugby, March 6. Answering a question in the House of Commons Sir John Simon, Foreign Secretary, said tentative proposals for a loan to the Chinese Government did not appear to provide a satisfactory remedy for the situation. The Government was watching the financial situation in China closely. The Government attached great importance to co-operation between the Powers primarily .concerned, including China, and in touch with those Powers. No project for a loan to China was at (present before the British Government.
