GOLD RETURNS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, March 4. The Okarito gold return was 35 ounces 6dwts for 118 hours. The Mataki return for the week ending March 3 was 290 z for 133 hours’ work, reports the Press Association. FEILDING STOCK SALE. SOUND INQUIRY REPORTED. Dalgety and Company’s report on the Feilding sale held on Friday states that there was a good entry in all classes of sheep. Owing to the pastures recovering from the dry spell, buyers were present to fill delayed purchases, and a very" sound sale resulted. Two-tooth ewes fit to breed from hardened in price full-mouth ewes also met a very firm sale. Store lambs were not quite so numerous, but the quality was good and buyers were operating actively throughout the sale. .Last week’s fall was fully recovered. There was a small entry in the cattle section, but the few pens of run cattle submitted sold fully up to recent rates, with, a good inquiry. Beef cattle showing finish met a sound sale.
