Up till the time the . school was raised to full status, in 1902 it was administeredby the town school committee, which had general control of the Central and subsidiary schools. The chairmen of the committee were:—Mr. James Bellringer, 1884-1892; Mr. E. Dockrill, 1892-1893; Mr. W. A. Collis, 1893-1902. - The first committee of the full school was:—Messrs. C. L. Gilbert (chairman), Garner, Mander, Simmons, Asher, G. Blanchard and J. Hurle (secretary).- Mr. Gilbert remained chairman until his death in 1912. After that the chairmen were:—Mr. J. Morrison, 1912-1913; Mr. A. K. Smart, 1913-1919; Mr. W. W. Thomson, 1920-1922; Mr. J. S. S. Medley, 1920-1922; Mr. J. Garcia, 1922-1925; Mr. J. A. Hawker,' 1925-1928; Mr. W. H. Jones, 1928-1933; Mr. C. O. Berg, 1933 to date. Members of the present committee are:—Messrs. C. O. Berg (chairman),’ F. Brunton, F. Hooker. F. E. May, H.-L. Hay, S. D. Jury, W. H. Jones, E. V. Tingey and H._ J. Abram (honorary secretary).
