Taranaki Looking WelL n It was a treat to have seen the greeni pastures of Taranaki, remarked Mr. F. W. Sutton, who was for many years stock inspector in the province but is now! superintending inspector for the Wellington district, which includes Taranaki. Mr. Sutton was in Taranaki last week and he said that he could not help contrasting its appearance with that of sayi the Wairarapa and Hawke’s Bay district* where there had been many fires.
