BROADCASTING OF NEWS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Rotorua, Feb. 22. At the annual meeting of ‘the Press Association the chairman stated that an arrangement had been made between the Press Association and the Broadcarting Board under which the four mairi YA stations would broadcast a cable service during the evening neWs sessibil. ’ This agreement was the result of a conference held recently, between the dirfectofS and .the chairman 'and general ffiahagfer of the Broadcasting Board. Sir, Cecil Leys arid Mr. Henry Horton were re-elected directofs fepffes'eritiftg metropolitan, newspapers, and Mr. L. G. Young (Wanganui)' and Mr. T. M. Gfeddis (Napier) were elected to repfesent the provincial newspapers. Mr. O. G. Kember (Wellington) was reappointed auditor. ... ; At a subsequent meeting bf directors Mf; Henry Horton was appbinted chairman. Leave of absence in order to visit England was granted Mr. Stanley Smith and Sir Cecil Leys.
