APPROACH OF AN ANTI-CYCLONE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather is improving on the West Coast of the South Island but elsewhere is still expected to be unsettled, with further rain, states the 4 p.m. forecast. A few heavy falls are likely on the east coast. Conditions are becoming cooler. The lasttof the present series of depressions is flow passing east of the Dominion and a father intense anti-cyclofie is advancing across the Tasman Sea. Southwest to southerly winds should prevail, becoming strong in many places. SeaS will be rough south of Cape Egmont and about Cook Strait, and moderate but rising on the east coast.
