£l000 DAMAGES GIVEN
SEQUEL TO MOTOR COLLISION. INVERCARGILL CASE DECIDED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. A Supreme Court action in which Willi;>m Randolph Webb, Invercargill, was awarded £lOOO general damages and £l7l 17s Id special damages against the Southland County Council on the ground of the alleged negligence of one of its employees, was concluded to-day. A motion for non-suit raised by counsel for the defence was withdrawn and His Honour entered judgment in favour of Webb in accordance with the jury’s verdict. The case was a sequel to a motor collision on the Invercargill-Gore road.
