JAPANESE PRINCES
THREE SAIL FOR AUSTRALIA. UNPRECEDENTED DEPARTURE. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Tokio, Feb. 20. An elaborate send-off marked the sailing of three Princes aboard the navy’s training vesels Asama and Hakumo for Australia, via the South Seas. Prince Kuni, younger brother of the Empress, and Prince Hideo Fushimi, son of the navy's highest commander, are aboard the Asama. Prince Asaka is sailing with the Hakumo. Seven relatives of the Imperial Family joined with the navy’s commandants at the Yokosuka base in farewelling the Princes, while 22 radio stations broadcast the departure, which is unprecedented in that three Princes of the blood will be abroad simultaneously in sailing ships for marine experience.
