INTRICATE CHARGES
COMPLICATED CASE AT AUCKLAND INSURANCE FRAUD ALLEGATIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Six men who were arrested between January 23 and February 8 appeared in the Police Court to-day. They were William Kenneth Daniels, aged 26, storeman, John Edward O’Donnell, aged 31, fruiterer, Alfred Ernest. Hay, aged 30, motor dealer, Norman Henry. Fraser, aged 36, Oscar Herbert Johnson, aged 44, clerk, and Alexander Frederick Murray, aged 33, mechanic. Murray was charged with conspiring with Hay and Fraser to defraud the North Island Motor Union Mutual Insurance Company of £62 9s 6d, Daniels with making a false document, O’Donnell with making a false hire-purchase agreement, Hay with forgery and Fraser and Johnson with making false hirepurchase agreements. In reply to counsel the prosecutor said the case would be heard on March 7. Owing to the far-reaching effect of these cases the inquiry was taking some time. All the men were remanded and bail was renewed. ''J
