VISIT TO AUSTRALIA
AUCKLAND SWIMMER TO TOUR. NEW SOUTH WALES TITLE EVENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The proposal of the Ponsonby Ama's teur Swimming Club that Miss Mona £ Leydon should go to Sydney to compete at the meeting of the New South Wales Ladies’ Swimming Association has been accepted. That body has cabled that it will be pleased to have Miss Leydon as a competitor at its final carnival of the season, which will open on March 16 and end on March 21. Miss Leydon’s special mission will be the half-mile championship. The shorter distance races have already been held. Miss Leydon, besides holding Dominion records for the half-mile and quartermile,is also the 220 yards freestyle and 100 yards.backstroke champion of New Zealand.
