RAIN PREVENTS GARDEN PARTY.
On account of heavy rain falling yesterday a garden party arranged by the New Plymouth Victoria League at “Maranui,” the home of Mrs. T. C. List, was changed into a card party at tire league rooms. There were seven tables in play, Mrs. G. Neal winning the bridge prize and Mrs. Beale and Mrs. A. L. Hammond that for five hundred. Taipo was won by Mrs. I. W. B.
