INVASION AND REVOLT
ITALY’S FEARS IN AFRICA OLD ABYSSINIAN POLICY NEUTRAL ZONE POSSIBLE J \ TERMS BEING DISCUSSED By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 5.5 p.m. London, Feb. 19. • Italy’s military action is due to a belief that Abyssinia is reviving a policy which she nearly put into execution when Italy engaged in the Great War —the invasion of Italian Somaliland accompanied by internal rising,, says the • Morning Post’s Rome correspondent. That is the danger to meet which Italy is now mobilising her divisions. How near the danger is will be still unknown until after the event, thanks to the Fascist system of censoring news. The Times’ Rome correspondent says the Abyssinian Government is inclined to accept the principle of a neutral zone, although it attaches conditions which are not acceptable to Italians. The conditions are at present being discussed.
