ASSAULT CHARGES
KENSINGTON STABLES INCIDENT. RETURN OF SUPREME COURT. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Feb. 19. As a sequel to a racehorse incident at the Kensington stables on Saturday Gordon William Watson, aged 27, a jockey, Ronald William Watson, aged 29, jockey, and Alfred William Twyman, aged 35, clerk, were remanded in the police court to-day charged with assasulting Eileen Cain, wife of the trainer Albert Cain. The prosecution alleged that the three defendants, in company with two others, went to Mrs. Cain’s home and knocked her about rather badly. The prosecution added that it was also alleged that the New Zealand racehorse Supreme Court was taken, and in connection with its removal further charges would be preferred. The horse has been returned to its owner. Defendants’ counsel intimated that the defence would be a perfect alibi.
