Mrs. Arthur foreman, Tikorangi, who has been touring the South Island, returned to her home on Sunday. Mrs. L. Rea left on Saturday to visit Christchurch. Miss Ola Masters has arrived from Stratford to spend a holiday at New Plymouth. Miss P. O’Reilly is, spending a holiday at Wadestown, Wellington. Mrs. R. Lealand has left to spend a holiday at Hastings and Napier. Mrs. T. Wilson left on Monday to spend a holiday at Masterton. Mrs. J. Scanlan has left to visit Auckland. Miss K. Morey returned on Monday from a visit to Napier. Mrs. R. T. McQuade has returned from a holiday at Auckland. Mrs. C. W. Hodge left on Monday to spend a holiday at Rotorua. Miss C. Porter arrived from Palmerston North on Saturday to visit Mrs. S. F. Burgess. Mrs A. G. Elliott arrived from Blenheim on Monday to take up her residence at New Plymouth. Mrs’. E. Abbey-Jones, Invercargill, visited New Plymouth at the week-end and left on Monday for Rotorua. Miss Betty George, who has teen spending several weeks’ holiday at Hawera, returned to New Plymouth on Saturday. Miss Audrey Nolan, of the hospital nursing staff, has returned after a holiday at Cambridge. Mrs. J. Rich, Dunedin, who has teen the guest of Mrs. G. F. Rich, left on Monday on her return. Mrs. Kean Clarke, Auckland, is a Visitor to New Plymouth at present. She is the guest of Mrs. G. Martin. Miss Frances Nicholson returned to New Plymouth on Monday after having been for a holiday cruise to Milford Sound. Mrs. D. F. C. Saxton and Miss R. List left by car on Monday for a short holiday at Rotorua. Mrs. W. R. Jourdain, Wellington, and Miss K. Bamitt, Masterton, have been visiting New Plymouth for a few days. They will leave to-day on their return, Mrs. J. M. O’Reilly has returned from a visit to Mrs. W. Hanley, Wadestown, Wellington. Mrs. Hanley accompanied her on her return to New Plymouth and is now her guest. Mrs. A. Alexander, Mrs. 0. Blundell, Mrs. L. Chivers, Mrs. C. J. Harris, Miss A. Jackett and Miss M. Greenwell left on Monday for Wellington to be present as New Plymouth delegates at the national biennial convention of the Y.W.Y.M.C.A., which opened yesterday. Mrs. S. R. Morley and Mrs. Ivil accompanied them and will also attend the convention. Mrs. Reid (Wellington), Mrs. E. B. Bain (Auckland), Miss D. Petersen (Victoria), Miss Cragg (Palmerston North), Mrs. Fletcher (Wellington), Mrs. P. E. <md Miss E. Thompson (Sydney), Mrs. E. W. Lamerton (Palmerston North), Mrs. and Miss Marshall (Takapuna), Miss J. E. Mac Lean (London), Miss J. Paykel (Auckland) and Mrs. L. Samson (Ceylon) are among the guests at the Criterion Hotel.
