FINE WEATHER GENERAL.
MODERATE NORTHERLY WINDS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather is expected to be fine and warm in most districts, states Hie 4 p.m. forecast, but cloud is increasing in the "south and a few scattered showers are probable later on the east coast and in the far south of the South Island. A moderate anti-cyclone is centred over the North Island, but a very shallow depression advancing from the Taxman has reached southern Otago. Light to moderate northerly winds are expected at first from Dunedin northwards and southerlies thence southwards, extending over the Dominion during the next 24 hours, their force being light to moderate and later freshening.
