PERFORMANCES AT THE PARK. EXHIBITION OF QUICKSTEP TEST. The combined musical and athletic carnival staged by the Taranaki RegimentalMunicipal Band and the New Plymouth Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club on the Pukekura Park sportsground last night, was highly successful. A large crowd attended and the combined committee kept things moving throughout. The sports provided excellent races and finishes, while the band’s items were enthusiastically received. After being inspected by Lieut. F. W. G. McLeod the band gave an exhibition of the contest quickstep and test selection “Rimutaka” (C. Trussell). The whole display was highly creditable.
