PUNGAREHU TEAM BEATEN. MORON SHIELD COMPETITION. Playing in the Moron Shield competition the Pungarehu tennis team was beaten by Warea at Warea on Sunday by 11 sets to 5. In the following results Pungarehu names are mentioned first: — Combined doubles: B. Brophy and Miss I. Gray lost to R. Payne and Miss N. Wells 4—7, A. Roots and Miss M. Brophy lost to B. Gold and Miss J. Lewis 3—7, L. Beadmore and Miss L. Gilhooley beat O. Lewis and Miss M. Sole 7—4, G. Pukekaha and Miss J. Gray beat H. Wells and Miss R. Wells 7—2. Women’s doubles: Misses I.
