UNSETTLED WEATHER
COOLER TEMPERATURES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be unsettled generally, with scattered rains in most districts, says the 4 p.m. forecast. Temperatures will become cooler. Winds will be southerly south of Westport and Kaikoura, and elsewhere northwesterly to westerly at first. Southerlies will become general through the night. They will be moderate to strong generally and of gale force at some places, but soon decreasing. Seas in New Zealand waters will be rough south of Cape Egmont and Castlepoint, but elsewhere moderate. In the eastern Tasman Sea there will be moderate to fresh but decreasing southerly winds, veering to westerlies in the southern portion. Seas will be moderate. A rather deep depression has been crossing the Dominion to-day, and a slight anti-cyclone is advancing over the Tasman Sea.
