DANCE AT OAONUI

BENEFIT FOR HALL FUNDS. The first dance of the year in the Oaonui hall was held on Wednesday night, when there was a good attendance. The dance was organised by Oaonui bachelors, the proceeds being for the hall funds. Music was played by Mrs. C. Malcolm’s Star Orchestra, with extras by MeSdames Mischefski and Webster. Mr. David Wilson was master of ceremonies. Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mr. N. Trye and partner and Mr. Claude Clegg and partner and a “lucky spot” waltz by Mr. ?. Hawkins and partner. A competition was won by Mr. J. White, Kina Road. Visitors were present from Tikorangi, Eltham and the coastal districts. The supper committee comprised Mesdames J. Dalton, G. WilsOn and L. A. Bosworth and Misses M. Zurcher and E. Wilson. Mr. Robert Schultz was in charge of the ice cream and soft drink stall, which was well patronised. Personal Items.
