■ SANDFORD—PITCAITHLY, The wedding was solemnised at Knox .Presbyterian Church, Eltham, on December 27, .1934, of Barbara, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Pit’caithly, Eltham, .and Albert William, 'younger son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Sandifer d, Auroa. The Rev. J. A. Ryburn performed the ceremony and Miss Madden played the wedding music. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of dull finished crinkle crepe made in the new streamline mode. Her embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a coronet of pearls and orange blossom. A sheaf of arum lilies, roses and maidenhair fem completed the toilette. The bride’s attendant was her sister, Mis-s Christina Pitcaithly, who wore a gown of turquoise green crepe de chine made on similar lines to the bride’s. Her sheaf of gladicli and roses was in tones of pink. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Douglas Mercer, Auroa, as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Legion rooms, where the parents of the bride and bridegroom received the guests. Later Mr. and Mrs. Sandford left for Hawkes Bay, where the honeymoon was spent. BILLINGHURST—JENKINSON. The wedding took place at the Dublin Street Methodist Church, Wanganui, on January of Nita Merle, elder daugh'ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jenkinson, Niblett Street, Wanganui, and Frederick Henry Billinghurst, of “Glen Tui,” Mangaweka. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. P. Hunt, and Miss Ellis presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of ivory cotele fashioned on long slim lines. Her embroidered veil was held in place with sprays of orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of lilies, roses and gypsophila. The bridesmaids were Misses D. Good, Aramoho, and N. Mtlndoe, Marton, who Wore frocks of green crepe de chine, > with hats and shoes to tone and carried bouquets of orange roses and abutilons. The bride’s sister, Joy, who acted as flower girl, wore a dainty frbck of green georgette with hat and shoes to tone, and held a posy of French marigolds and spider lily. Mr. Eric Jenkinson, brother of the bride, was best man and Mr. George Billinghurst, brother of the bridegroom, was groomsman. The reception was held at the Rendezvous, where Mrs. Jenkinson received her guests wearing a frock of georgette trimmed with beige, with hat and shoes to tone, and carried a bouquet of sweet peas, roses and carnations. Mrs. Billinghurst wore a black and white ensemble and black and white hat and carried a bouquet of roses.
