MISS LEYDON’S PERFORMANCE. frankham defeats crump. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. In an official attempt on the 880 yards New Zealand women’s swimming record, held by Miss K. Miller, Wellington Miss Mona lueydon lowered the time, cohering the distance in 12m 235. This broke the existing record by lm 31 3-ss. The 220 yards men’s championship of Auckland resulted in the sensational defeat of the New Zealand title-holder, N. Crump, by R. Frankham in 2m 25 4-5 s R. Thomas was third. The winners time was 3 2-5 s slower than Crumps Dominion record.
