The road race carnival dance conducted in the New Plymouth Agricultural Hall on Saturday evening was very successful. Two hundred couples were present and an enjoyable evening was spent. Dance music was played by Vinsen's Ambassadors and extras were played by Miss Mischewski (piano) and Mr. L E. Smith (drums). Novelty dance winners were: Mystery Gay Gordon, Mr. Edwards and Miss Mills; Dutch Monte Carlo waltz. Mr. Strickland and Miss Campbell; Monte Carlo waltz, Mr. J. Donaldson and Miss W. Sefton: lucky spot Eva three-step, Mr. Keenan and Miss Stanton.
