SCOTTISH ASSOCIATION DANCE. The Te Kiri Scottish Association popular annual dance was held on New Year’s Eve. The hall was packed, visitors being present from as far as Hawera. Mr. Jack Hooker’s orchestra played the ‘music and extras were played by Miss G. Tynan. The Auroa Pipe Band played a few selections. Mr. C. Maindonald was master of ceremonies. Mr. G. Murfitt, a factory hand, met with an accident and is an inmate of the New Plymouth hospital. Miss Joyce Bloxham, Lowgarth, is staying with her brother, Mr. R. Bloxham. Mrs. Coupe Snr. has gone to Waikanae to visit her daughter, Mrs. A. Watson. Miss Swindlehurst, Levin, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs, H. Wiggins.
