CAMP APPRECIATED
SITE AT KING EDWARD PARK. WEATHER AFFECTS NUMBERS. In spite of the increasing tourist traf - fic, the number of visitors at the Hawera motor camp in King Edward Park only equalled those of last year in average. Compared with the 18 of the 193334 season, 11 was the maximum number of campers in one night during the recent holidays. The camp has been used for a longer period than previously and has satisfied all who have pitched their tents within its bounds. One Wellington motorist said the enterprise and vision of the council had provided an all round, excellent and greatly appreciated camp. In the words of another the camp was ideal in beautiful' surroundings. The facilities and the most convenient kitchen for camping were freely praised A very popular addition to the camp was a hot shower provided by means of a califont.
