BATTLE WITH OCEAN
CAPSIZE OF HOME-MADE VESSEL. CRAFT RIGHTED BY OCCUPANTS By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborne, January 3. Thrown into the water from a homebuilt sailing boat which capsized three miles off Young Nick’s Head, four young men had a narrow escape from being carried out to sea by a strong westerly breeze, but, being strong swimmers, they succeeded after a great struggle in righting the craft and with a paddle in place of the lost rudder in making a landing through the surf.
