DISTRICT PERSONAL ITEMS. At the monthly meeting of the Awakino Troop of the Legion of Frontiersmen on Saturday evening -opportunity was taken to farewell Frontiersman Sergeant May, who is on transfer to Te Awamutu. Frontiersman H. Gray presided. Captain R. Pike, New Plymouth, was present. Miss A. Wareing, “Pioi,” is the guest of Mrs. J. Terrill, New Plymouth. Miss Collis, Auckland, is spending h fortnight with her sister, Mrs. H. Cummings. . Mr. C. G. Calvert, Tolaga Bay, is spending the school vacation with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. G. Calvert. Mrs. Robertson, New Plymouth, is the guest of Mrs. W. Winstanley.
Mr. and Mrs. Champling and family, Onehunga, are the guests of Mr. H. L Northern and Miss Northern. Mr. and Mrs. Sheat and family are spending the holidays camping on the beach. Mr. and Mrs. Metcalfe. Wellington, are spending a camping holiday at the Awakino heads.
