LIBRARIAN’S GRANT

TOUR FOR DR. GUY SCHOLEFIELD. PARLIAMENTARY LIBRARIAN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Dr. Guy H. Scholefield, chief Parliamentary librarian, has been offered a Carnegie visiting grant which will provide the expenses for a trip of a year to the United States, England and Europe, where he will study library methods. Nothing definite has yet been arranged, but Dr. Scholefield, who is spending a holiday at Lake Tekapo, said to-day he hoped to go some time early next year. His place at the Parliamentary library will be taken by Mr. W. Wauchop, assistant librarian, who will return shortly from a year’s leave which he has spent abroad studying libraries.
