Shannon’s Glenburn Ryeland Stud Flock No. 79, registered with the Ryeland Sheepbreeders’. Society of N.Z. Inc., will be held as above when the complete" Glenburn’ stud-, comprising some 200 registered Ryeland ewes and rams will be submitted to auction. Flock No. 79 was established by the purchase of ewes,and lambs bred by Mr. F. J. Ellis (Flock No. 7), the whole of the ewes and . lambs .. comprising Mr. J. H. Orr’s flock (Nd. 18); and a considerable proportion of Mr. K. D. Orr’s flock (No. 21). The present crop of lambs were sired by Surrey 663 (Registered No. 437) and bred by Mr. F. J. Ellis. A number of ewes and rams in Flock 79 have been exported to Australia and have given the greatest satisfaction. The type of the Ryelands comprising this flock is of the highest standard and the present sale, which is the most extensive one of Ryeland sheep yet held in New Zealand, offers an unusual opportunity to breeders interested in this increasingly popular breed to secure their requirements.
