ELIMINATION IN BRITAIN. ASSISTANCE FROM ROAD FUND. , British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Nov. 29. Asked in Parliament whether in view of this week’s railway accident at a level crossing at Wormley, in which the engine-driver and fireman lost their lives, he would take measures to abolish level crossings, the Transport Minister explained that the road across the railway at this place was not a public one but a private farm track. i In 'order to expedite the abolition of level crossings, however, he would make a grant to local authorities from the road fund of 75 per cent, of the cost of constructing road bridges across railways.
