For the first day of the Feilding race meeting the weather was dull, but it improved later and there was bright sunshine after showers. The track was hard and fast. The Egmont Racing Club’s 1935 summer meeting will be held On February 13 and 14, 1935, instead of January 30 and 31, on which dates the Wanganui Jockey Club will hold its meeting. A proposal was submitted .to the Egmont club’s committee to instal a .totalisator barometer but it was decided to hold the matter over pending a further, inspection of the device in actual opera-; tion at the forthcoming Christmas and New Year meetings.
