TWO MEN SUFFER BAD- SCUDS. SHIP'S ENGINE-ROOM ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill. Last Night. While working in 'the etgine-rwam et the Federal steamer Norfolk at Bluff to-day two young mem James Donald Ross, aged 2S. engineer, a native of Scotland, and Ernest Veers, aged S. a greaser, were severely scalded from the thighs, down by a sudden escape of steam. They were uncovering a pipe when it burst. The injured men were rostveyed to the Southland Hospital, where they are reported to be progressing favourably.
