GARDEN PARTY SUCCESS
HOLY TRINITY FUNDS BENEFIT. Perfect weather favoured a garden party organised in aid of the funds of the Holy Trinity Church, Te Henui, held in Mrs. G. G. Grover’s beautiful grounds yesterday afternoon. The afternoon, which was organised by Mrs. Grover and the ladies’ guild, proved most successful and the funds should benefit considerably. The stalls were placed under the trees around the front lawn, while the lawns themselves were used for clock golf and croquet. Those in charge of the various stalls were: Sewing, Mesdames Fairhall and Pearce; produce, Mesdames Chivers and Giddy; competitions, Mrs. Crawford and Misses A. Gentles and R. Day; afternoon tea, Mesdames O’Reilly and Roebuck, Misses N. Griffiths. J. Rennell, K. Whitcombe, C. Stephenson, P. O’Reilly and M. Ramson. A decorated pram competition was won by Miss Pat Duncan and Miss Peggy Ingram,
