OLD SYSTEM AMENDED.
STRATFORD RACING CLUB. A decision to revert to its old system of place betting for its summer meeting, with additional provision for the backer who prefers the straight-out win system, has been made by the committee of the Stratford Racing Club. This will mean that there will be two machines, one for the win and one for the place. When there are five or more horses starting in a race two dividends will be paid, the first 75 per cent, and the other 25 per cent, of the pool. On the other Hand, for fewer than five horses only one dividend will be paid, so that the place and the win machine will become identical. The latter will in that case be closed.
