Tire High Court, by a majority, allowed the appeal of the former Prime Minister, Mr. J. T. Lana, from a majority judgment of the State Full Court granting a new trial to Albert Charles Willis in an action for £20,000 damages against Mr. Lang for alleged slander contained in speeches during the Bulli by-election. The High Court restored the original verdict in favour of Mr. Lang. Mr, Willis .was ordered to pay costs.
