new GUINEA SEARCH PROPOSAL.
SEVERAL BRANCHES OF STUDY.

Commander George Dyatt, the explorer, known for his work in South America in connection with the search for Colonel Fawcett, informed the Australian Press Association that he is seeking permission from the Australian authorities to conduct a year’s exploration in the mandated territory of New Guinea. He said that, while he was unable to discuss the full plans until such permission was received, he contemplated, with a geologist, surveyor and a fourth companion, to follow up the work of Chinnery, proceeding into the territory further back. He indicated that while he will make some study of minerals in the area his principal work will be anthropological and geographical. .
