COMPETITION SUSTAINED.
BRADFORD MARKET QUIET.

At the wool sales 9948 bales were offered, including 4386 from New Zealand, and 5088 Australian and New Zealand were sold.
There was sustained English and Continental competition, and steady rates were maintained. Quotations: New Zealand, scoured Merinos, Murchison, top 24Jd, average 23 3-8 d; greasy crossbred, Ashcott, top 9Jd, average Bid; halfbred lamb slipe, Belfast, top 13Jd, average 12|d. The Bradford market is quiet and barely steady. • BRISBANE MARKET FIRM. SUPPORT FROM CONTINENT. Brisbane, November 27. The sixth series of wool sales was opened with an offering of 9847 bales of good selection. Competition was keen from all sections, particularly Japan and Yorkshire, while Germany and France gave strong support. The market was firm. The top prices were: Greasy 16Jd, scoured 26d. The November series of Melbourne woolsales ended with prices on a par with last week’s lower prices. The Perth wool sales opened with prices down 5 to 10 per cent, compared With the last sale. A total of 28,000 bales was offered. The best price was 14Jd.
