The Red Cross Society had written asking the committee to co-operate in the borough council to change the collecting day for the two organisations from August to March. The council had advised that no application for any alteration could be forwarded until October next year and the secretary was therefore instructed to inform the Red Cross Society of the position, but to offer the support of the district nurse committee should the society desire it later. The secretary was empowered to pay the December quota to the hospital board.
