LONG WORK FOR CHURCH
82nd BIRTHDAY CLEBRATED. Members of the Pate a Methodist Church Guild met at the home of Mrs. R. A. Adams last week to celebrate her 82nd birthday. The time was spent in relating experiences and in competitions. Mrs. W. G. P. Ingley sang, accompanied by Mrs. H. Boagey. The Rev. W. H. Wilson voiced the congratulations of the members and expressed the hope that Mrs. Adams would long be spared to enjoy the good health which she had had for so many years. Mrs. Adams was born on the ship Tasmania en route to New Zealand and is the oldest member Of the Patea Methodist Church, having been a member of the Home Mission Birthday League for 51 years. The members provided afternoon tea, Mrs. Boagey expressing thanks on her mother’s " behalf. Mrs. Adams was the recipient of many posies and bouquets. Mrs. Herbert, Mrs. G. Meharry and Miss R. Locker were winners of competitions.
