OPIUM OFFENCES
CHINESE FINED AT WELLINGTON. CHARGES LAID AGAINST SIX MEN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Nov. 26. Loe Long was fined £5O for permitting premises in Haining Street to be used for opium smoking and £25 for being found in possession of prepared opium. Four Chinese were fined for being found on the premises, two £l7 10s and the other two £l2 10s. Willie Joe, an old man, was fined £25 for being in possession of prepared opium.
