BOTH MARKETS QUIET. PRICES STILL EASING. The London butter market was quiet last week, with a further slight easing in prices, and closed at 73s to 75s for New Zealand salted, a fall of Is on the previous week. The retail price of New Zealand butter last week was raised Id to lOd, and that of Danish by Id to Is 2d. Deliveries of New Zealand butter last week totalled 1703 tons, compared with 1846 tons for the previous week, and 1638 tons a year ago. The quantity of New Zealand butter in store was 5429 tons, compared with 5158 tons for the previous week, and 2600 tons a year ago. The cheese market showed a further easing last week, and closed quiet with New Zealand white at 49s 6d to 50s, and coloured at 48s to 495, a drop on the week of 2s 6d for white and 3s 6d for coloured. Deliveries of New Zealand cheese last week totalled 15,571 crates, while the quantity in store was ,68,054 crates, as against 35,796 crates a year ago.
