MR. JOHN DRINKWATER’S CENSURE.
k~ By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. ■ London, Nov. 23. Mr. John Drinkwater, speaking at Belfast, said the discovery of the cinema was an unmitigated curse to mankind. Nothing had done so much to vulgarise the world’s taste as the cinema, which had almost closed provincial theatres. The cinema had demoralised actors and actresses, who could make more money in one day in the films than in weeks in the theatre.
