FAIR TO FINE WEATHER
MODERATE SOUTHERLY WINDS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather is expected to be fair to fine generally, but a few isolated light showers are likely at first in the far southern and eastern districts of the South Island. Conditions will be cool but becoming gradually milder. An anticyclone covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand, but pressure has commenced to fall over south-eastern Australia. Moderate south-westerly to southerly winds are expected, later becoming variable and tending to northerly in and south of Cook Strait. Seas will be rather rough about Cook and Foveaux Straits, but should moderate. SHIPPING MOVEMENTS. Auckland, November 23:—Arrived; Strathaird (2 p.m.), from Brisbane; Elmbank (7 p.m.), from Nauru Island. Sailed: Huia (8.20 a.m.), for Melbourne. To sail: Wingatui (6.30 p.m.), far Newcastle; Waipiata (10 p.m.), for Wellington. Wellington, November 23:—Sailed: Totara (6.15 u.m.), for New Plymouth. Sydney, November 22:—Sailed: Monowai (5 p.ift.), for Auckland. Lyttelton, November 23:—Arrived: Wainui (5,45 a.m.), from Timaru; Maori (6.45 a.m.), from Wellington; Foxton ( 5.35 p.m.), from Foxton. Sailed: Abel Tasman (11.20 a.m.), for Dunedin; Wainui (3.30 pm.), for Wellington; Raranga (7.5 p.m.), for Magellanes; Maori (8,15 p.m.), for Wellington.
