THE WENDY HUT.
A LETTER FROM WENDY.
Dear Tinks, I wonder how many of you have begun making things for our animal and golliwog competition. I know some of you have for some lovely animals have arrived at the Hut already, but if there are still Tinks who have not quite decided yet just what they would like to make, there is still time if they set to work at once. The competition does not close until Saturday/ December 8, so you still have two weeks in which to work.
In case some of you did not see about the competition I will tell you again. It is to make stuffed animals or golliwogs out of stockings or any cfther material, and prizes will.be given for the best ones sent in. Then the animals will be put in the Sunshine Cupboard to be sent to po6r little girls and boys for Christmas. ’ There is another thing I want to tell you about too. Now that Christmas is drawing so near we .want to collect all sorts of poems and stories about Christmas and the Christmas holidays, so that we can hive a special Christmas page. So if any of you have some that you think would be suitable, we should be very glad if you would send them to -us soon. ‘ Then we shall be able to pick' out the best ones stnd keep them for our page. I am sure you will be able to find some in your story books if you look through them, and it would be fun to see them again on our page, wouldn’t it. There will be. a reminder about the closing day for the competition later on, so “good-bye” till then, Tinks, Your loving— WENDY.
