AWATUNA SCHOOL WORK
WOODWORK AND COOKERY. An interesting competition was held at the Awatuna school yesterday, when the boys and girls’ club staged exhibits of cookery and woodwork. There were nine entries in cookery and three in woodwork. The awards were:— Scones: Nancy Pepperell 1, Mary Alty 2, Gracie Kruse v.h.c.. Mary Walker v.h.c. . Woodwork: Murray Boyd (aeroplane) 1, Ramsay Boyd (aeroplane) 2, Pat Bourke (stool) 3.
