CRASHED IN QUEENSLAND.—The four-engined de Havilland biplane which crashed 29 miles south of Longreach, Queensland, on Thursday. This was one of the machines for the Singa-pore-Brisbane service and the second to land in Australia. When the machine crashed Captain R. Prendergast, the chief pilot, and his two companions and a passenger were killed.
