TWO GIRLS DROWNED
ACCIDENT IN THE HUTT RIVER. ATTEMPTED RESCUE OF SISTER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Isabella Simmis, aged 16, and Enid Thelma Simmis, aged 14, were drowned in the Hutt River near the Melling bridge this afternoon. • It is believed they lost their lives trying to rescue their younger sister, who got into difficulties while bathing.
