TALLOW, HEMP, EGGS, APPLES. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated November 10, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow: Market quiet but steady at about last quotations. Hemp:—Manila: Market quiet and unchanged. Sisal: Market quieter and easier at the close. November-January shipment sold at £l3 17s 6d. New Zealand: Nothing to report. Eggs: New laid firm, short supply. Colonial: Good supply with fair demand. English: National pack, 17s 6d to 23s 6d; ordinary pack, 18s 9d to 20s. Danish: 14s 6d to 19s. Australian, 10s 4%d to 12s 9d. New Zealand: Rangitata cleared at Ils 3d to 12s 9d; 181 b per long hundred, 12s lOYad to 13s 3d.
Apples: Market well supplied with English and imported at slightly easier prices. British Columbia: Cox’s Orange, 8s to Ils 6d; Jonathan, 8s to 9s 6d; Californian Newtown, 9s to 10s; Oregon Newton, 10s to 12s 6d; Washington and Jonathan, 8s to 10s.
