SUBSIDISED SHIPPING QUESTION. AUSTRALIAN REPRESENTATIONS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 10 p.m. Canberra, Nov. 12. Stressing the urgent necessity for consideration being given by' the Commonwealth Government to the question of unfair competition by foreign subsidised shipping with British shipping in overseas trade, and also the intrusion of subsidised foreign shipping in trade with mandated and other territories, a deputation from the Sydney Chamber of Commerce obtained an assurance from Sir George Pearce that their representations would be brought before the Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, with a view to their early submission to Cabinet.
